For State Assembly, 32nd District
Hello friends, neighbors and supporters.
On July 1st, I traveled to Madison and delivered my Nomination Papers. I want to thank all those who signed my papers (over 400 people) and those who assisted me in obtaining the signatures. Although this involved a lot of time and effort it was extremely satisfying and enlightening talking to the many who signed the papers. The nominating papers have now been accepted and we move to the next phase of the campaign.
My reason for deciding to become a candidate for the 32nd Assembly District is to work hard for you, who I will represent! This past year has been extremely difficult for the state and country. Cooperation and compromise in difficult times is critical and we have seen little! One of the main goals of a legislator is to assure the residents of their District they are represented and considered. The extreme divisiveness, name-calling and assigning blame have entirely negated the benefits of cooperation and compromise.
The economy, school finance reform, alternative energy development, campaign finance reform and senior citizen concerns need to be addressed. We must work to make the tax base equitable for the public and business sectors. We must be sure that money budgeted realizes its full potential when spent. These things cannot be accomplished in a positive manner unless the members of the Assembly and other governmental body’s primary concern are the states’ residents. Communication, cooperation and compromise must become a reality in Madison!
Look for more information in this website as we enter the election cycle. If elected I will work tirelessly to accomplish the above!
Sincerely,
Doug Harrod
